SCHOOL EDUCATION AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES

SEAMS — IDEAS

Most teachers begin to sense the need to be innovative and creative so as to develop an appropriate and enjoyable rapport with the students. The rapport becomes a pre–requisite for a healthy relationship so that we take up a meaningful and productive educational endeavour. But if we do not learn and improve on an ongoing basis we begin to lose touch with students soon. One cannot bring about or sustain a certain quality of engagement with the students and eventually we might be written off by the students, although one may or may not read and grasp this.

A few of the ideas attempted by us in the domains of school teaching, management and leadership have been shared briefly in this chapter. They were all ideas tried by us in different contexts, with encouraging outcomes. They basically dwell on both the non–academic and academic domains. We are sure that many other teachers must have tried many other ideas. There are many other forums for sharing such ideas, including magazines and this is just another means.
